My name is Tiffany Riley and I live on Maui, Hawaii and am in High School. I love to crochet, quilt, and knit and want to help out in some small way. I started the "Sunshine Project" to help keep others warm, but also as a way to reach out and help other people.
One person, even me, a teenager, can make a difference! All it takes is one cap, blanket, scarf, or babybooties, to give to someone in need, to let them know that someone does care.
My favorite color is yellow, so I have made many items with yellow as the main color, but it is also a color that is warm and inviting as well as bright and cheerful. The sun sends rays of sunshine and warmth and I also want to spread a little sunshine and warmth to others.
Start by donating in your local community or there are many other charity groups. See my "Favorite links" to get started.
I have also helped out by donating my hair to "Locks of Love" http://www.locksoflove.org/ a great organization that creates wigs for people who have suffered hair loss from cancer and other ailments. Here is a picture!
